Cruisin' the Caribbean

On Valentine's day we left for a 7-day cruise with Jeff's firm. We went to the Western Caribbean which included: the Bahama's, Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, & Cozumel. It was so much fun and we've decided that cruising might be our favorite way to travel. I loved how you can go, unpack once, and see so many different places. Our favorite place was probably Grand Cayman. We went to a place called Stingray City there and swam with and fed the stingray's. Anyone who knows me well will be shocked by this. I am a huge worrier and I was TOTALLY freaked out. I was a nervous wreck the entire time, but glad I did it in the end. Now that it is over, it was fun! I feel lucky to still be alive :)! Not really! They were extremely tame and the guide compared them to puppies because all they like to do is eat and play. Another highlight was definitely when Jeff signed up to be in the karaoke contest. It was totally unlike him and very funny! He sang "Born to be my Baby" by Bon Jovi. Unfortunately I didn't have the video camera so when I get it from Jeff's friend at work, I'll be sure to share.

I have always heard that the food on a cruise is one of the best parts. Let me just say that it is! It is everywhere! Extremely dangerous, especially when you're in your swimming suit every day! It was fun to eat so fancilly (I made that work up) for a week. The only thing that saved me was that I did keep up on my training and had to run 10 miles around the Promenade deck one of the days. It was pretty boring, but pretty easy because we were at sea level. Too bad the marathon won't be at sea level!

It was a fun week and we were sad to see it end. We were excited to see the kids though. They stayed home and had tons of fun with Grandparent's, aunts and uncles. We are lucky to have so many great babysitters around.
