Change is hard

A couple of weeks ago our Ward got split...AGAIN! We just got divided last July, so it seemed pretty sudden. They ended up splitting right down the middle of our street. I wasn't too excited and actually cried when I realized the new boundaries. Everyone I can see out my front door is in the other Ward. All of my closest friends and most of Audrey and Alex's friends are no longer part of the Ward. I know it doesn't seem like such a big deal, but most of the ties I have with some people are through church activities. It's sad to think that I won't be seeing them as often.

I also got called to the Relief Society presidency. I have been pretty busy so far, but am excited to have the oppurtunity to meet new people and friends. I am working with some of the most amazing women. I look forward to learning and growing with them. I've come to the realization that this will be a good change, even though it will force me out of my comfort zone a little. I know I will still be friends with the girls in the other Ward. I also know I will make new friends in my new Ward, some I wouldn't have gotten to know if the Ward hadn't split. I am looking forward to those new friendships.

I know! I miss being in the same ward and I still think they should have put you with us. We will make the best of it, though, and still get together :)

Crazy that they split you down the middle of your street. I grew up in a ward that was split that way. Its weird to not have your neighbors in the same ward. Congrats on the new calling... you'll do great!

I am with ya on the split! Change is always soo hard. But I am exciting to see all the new things happening in our ward now. I am soo sad that I am in primary and you are in relief society! It feels like we will never see each other at church :( You will be soo great at your new calling, I am excited for you!

I have a feeling with all the growth out here we both will be getting split a lot in the next few years!

Josie you are a great leader. You have an impact on everyone you meet. (Not to put to much pressure on you). Audrey does not look like a school girl - still a babe but I bet she will have so much fun.
