Does anyone else have an extremely bossy 4 year old? I am not sure what to do about Audrey lately. I know she looks very innocent and sweet, but she feels the need to tell EVERYONE what to do! It has become really bad just the last few weeks. She has always bossed Alex around, but now she bosses everyone she plays with around too. I keep telling her she needs to be the little girl, not the mommy. I know when I was little I was bossy, but not towards my friends. I only felt the need to boss my brother and sisters around. After all, someone needed to tell them what to do! Maybe it has to do with being the oldest girl.....I really don't know. I am at my wits end with this. It is getting to the point where I don't want to invite people over because it's embarrassing. I hope it's a phase and not something we'll be battling permanently. How do I teach her not to be so bossy?
Also, does anyone else have kids that compete for everything all day long? I feel like a referee in my own home. As soon as Audrey has anything, Alex wants it and vice versa. When Alex is thirsty, all the sudden Audrey is thirsty too. When one is talking to me, the other one all the sudden needs my attention. When one is coloring, the other one wants to color too, and not just with any crayon, the one the other is coloring with! It gets so tiring. This seriously goes on ALL day long at our house. I feel like a terrible mom, but I can only handle so much of this before I lose it and start yelling. No wonder I'm not ready for another child yet......if ever! I love my kids to pieces, but it's been a LONG day! Thanks for letting me vent.

Hey I need one of those cages...do they have one that will fit three kids? Don't feel bad Josie, it is completely normal and it's not just a girl thing either...my oldest boy bosses and likes to control everyone like little worker ants so it could just be an oldest child thing although I was the bossy one in my family by FAR and I am second oldest??? Who knows?
Hi Josie, I thought I saw you at Lagoon on tuesday. Me and my sister-in-law thought it would be fun to take 2 5year olds two 2 year old and 2 babies. It was a lttle crazy so I was'nt able to say hello to you. Anyway, I wish I had some advice about you little girl but I just have noisy, mean little stinkers at my house! She looks so sweet , and for some reason I can not picture you yelling. I love my kids too, but some times you just have those days! It's good that we all do.
I'm confused . . . Were you explaining my children or yours? Because that all sounded way too familiar to be someone else's family!! When you find the solution, sent it my way.
Spanking works wonders
but probably just for boys :)
